Stephanie Alexander

En maîtrise (trad)

Projet de thèse (trad)

The influence of the social context on gender and smoking behaviour. Men and women’s experience of smoking is strongly influenced by gender. As such, gender may be a critical component contributing to the increasing disparities currently developing in smoking rates according to sex. The current exploratory qualitative study will examine how several aspects of the social context influence gender, and consequently shape men and women’s smoking practices. An aim of the study is to conceptualize ways in which aspects of the social context might be integrated into anti-tobacco practices.
